One of the blog tool accessories as well as blogs that are often in use by the blogger that is installed statistics tracker. With such blog statistics , then we or a visitor can also find out how how and who have visited our blog. It also can be at once as a tracker that we can know the visitor statistics from where they come from, whether from search engines, blog or other content from anywhere, we can find out.
Now how do we make these statistics? The easy way is we use the site statistics. In many sites the statistics are free, as an example is the http://www.sitemeter.com. Here is an example of tool that we can select:
To get it, please follow these steps:
- Please visit the site http://www.sitemeter.com.
- Click Sign Up to register
- Click the button marked Next
- Click the Next button again
- Fill in all the table and click the Next button again
- Fill the form, and then click Next again
- Click the Next button again.
- After a short description of the process of signing up is complete, you must do verification, please open your email to check it.
- Open the email that came from sitemeter.com, there is a username and password to log in to sitemeter.com
- Open Sitemeter.com and please log in with your id
- When you are logged in, click the menu Manager
- Click Menu Style Meter to select the tyle of your site meter
- Select the style you like, then click the Select button
- Click the HTML Code
- Click on Adding site Meter to a Blogger.com
- Copy all the given HTML code and paste in Notepad
- Click the Logout to exit site
- Done, time to blend it with our blog.
A blog with a classic template:
- Sign in to blogger with your id
- Click the TEMPLATE
- Click Edit HTML
- Click Find (on this page) ... ⇒ to speed up search progress.
- Write the word where you want to place, for example on my blog is a blogger (as close to the key bloggers) click Find
- Copy & paste the code that has been in the store earlier in the notepad, and then click the Preview button to see the changes that occur
- If you happy with the earlier changes, click Save Template Changes. Done.
A little extra, if you want to position the site meter located in the middle, add the code to stay <center> ...your sitemeter code... </center>
For the new blogger template:
- Log in with your blogger ID
- Click on the layout menu
- Click the Page Elements
- Click Add a Page Element
- Click ADD TO BLOG menu on the HTML / JavaScript
- Write a title on your site meter field in the form title (if you want to have information. If not, mine just empty)
- Copy & paste the code from Sitemeter.com into the field
- Click the Save Changes
- Click the new page element you created earlier, then move and hold to place that your way (in drag & drop)
- Click the Preview button to see changes in the new window
- When its done, click the Save button
- Done
To function as a sitemeter tracker, please log in to your sitemeter.com.
