For users who want to replace their Windows Vista with Windows 7, Microsoft will provide Windows 7 Update Program. All systems purchased since 1 July 2009 will be allowed to upgrade to Windows 7 with no additional cost. But not all owners have the right licensed this Windows upgrade. In addition to purchase a PC after a specified date, there are three conditions that must be observed:

  • Users must buy a new PC that resemble Windows Vista. Windows Vista customers who purchased separately do not get a free upgrade rights
  • Only Windows Vista Home Premium, Business and Ultimate are entitled to a free upgrade
  • Computer purchased must have a Certificate of Authenticity (COA)

There is one more thing which is very important, Microsoft does not require to PC vendors participated in this program. Therefore, if you want to make sure you are allowed to change to Windows 7, you should first find out whether your PC vendor to support this program.(DownloadSquad)
