Sun Microsystems recently announced the newest product line. Start from the latest version of MySQL 5.4, MySQL Cluster 7.0, to a MySQL partner program called the new Remote DBA. MySQL 5.4 shows the increase in performance and scalability that allows for the InnoDB storage engine to process 16-way x86 server and 64-way CMT server.
"MySQL 5.4 also includes new subquery optimization and JOIN improvement, which resulted in a 90% response time is better for a query," Sun claims.
While the MySQL 7.0 Cluster has the new features include significant increased in performance and scalability. As support for the LDAP directory, and the cluster back-up and treatment that is simpler.
"These include support for popular operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SuSE Linux Enterprise Server, Solaris 10, and Macintosh OS X,".
Sun also announced a new program partner MySQL, Remote DBA, for consulting companies and service providers who want to work with the team in the Sun database MySQL Enterprise to provide benefits directly to their clients.
Pythian Group is a company which is the first official partner MySQL Enterprise Remote DBA, as part of the program partners MySQL Enterprise Connection Allliance (MECA) owned by Sun.
